The bite that turned deadly

On November 14th 2014, Joanna was diagnosed with Lyme Disease, after 6 months of unexplainable symptoms and misdiagnoses by countless doctors she is now considered in the chronic or late stage of the disease and requires long term treatment. There are no Lyme literate doctors in Canada and Joanna is currently undergoing treatment with a Lyme expert in the U.S. and so this is not covered by health insurance. Her treatment includes antibiotics, prescribed supplements, physical therapy for pain management and regular lab work in the U.S. and the medical costs are truly crippling.  A Trust Fund has been established to assist Joanna with the costs she will incur during her treatment and recovery. Donations can be made at any Scotiabank branch or via PayPal.
